Recipe 12: Nasi Lemak

Traditional aromatic ingredients such as coconut cream and pandan enhance the delicate, natural flavour of Heavenly Rice.

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup Heavenly Rice
  2. 1 1/3 cup water
  3. 1 cup coconut cream
  4. 2 pandan leaves, washed and knotted
  5. 2 tsp pandan essence
  6. A pinch of salt
Method
  1. Wash the Heavenly Rice then drain it.
  2. Combine all the ingredients together in a rice-cooker and cook the mixture as you normally would for rice.
  3. Serve with fried fish, fried egg, ikan bilis, cucumber and sambal.
